vmProcessStrobeWeb – Beta 2

Our second public beta of vmProcessStrobeWeb improves the performance of remotely displaying screen shots of each selected virtual machine, especially across cellular data connections. The standalone Linux build can now automatically daemonize itself just by adding the parameter “daemonize” to the command line when executing vmProcessStrobeWeb.

The “--port=80” parameter can be used in conjuction with “daemonize” if you also want to change the port from the default of 80 to something else. As an example of automatically daemonizing the standalone Linux build of vmProcessStrobeWeb while also changing the port to 8080, use “vmProcessStrobeWeb --port=8080 daemonize” on the command line.

vmProcessStrobeWeb – Beta

We are proud to announce our first public beta of vmProcessStrobeWeb. It’s essentially the web version of vmProcessStrobe, which means that it has a browser based user interface and can be accessed from any smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc. Remote access via your preferred mobile device to monitor, kill, and launch processes in any, or all, of the Virtual Machines running across your VMware servers (vCenter, ESXi, ESX, Server, etc.) is now possible, remarkably fast, and very easy. This beta is of the Personal Edition.

Like our other software products, the Personal Edition implies it is free of charge and has most of the core functionality. Some features are reserved for those who purchase the Professional Edition and Enterprise Edition. The Personal Edition is for hobbyists and those who want to try before they buy. The Professional Edition is for professionals and small businesses. The Enterprise Edition is for medium to large businesses. With each step up in Editions, each software product has more features available and more generous licensing.
